How does your nonprofit succeed in a poor economy?
Planes fly because wings generate lift. The shape of wings make the air move faster over the top of the wing. Slower moving air underneath the wing then pushes the wing up.

For a plane as a whole, as long as lift is greater then gravity and thrust is greater then drag, your plane will fly.
This is pretty basic, but has one interesting twist: This means it would be impossible for planes to fly upside down (if the wing is facing down, the lift force would combine with gravity to pull down and it would not be able to fly). However, planes can fly upside down, so this equation is missing something...
So what does this mean? How do planes REALLY fly? The same question might be asked of your nonprofit: How does you nonprofit raise funds when everything the economy is turned upside down.
Hint: It has to do with the angle of attack.
